本书主要研究思想政治教育与大学生群体发展相互促进的关系，包括四个方面的内容：一是从思想政治教育学的视角对大学生群体的相关理论进行论述，包括群体与大学生群体的内涵、大学生群体形成与发展以及大学生群体的功能、分类与特征等。二是对大学生群体的历史发展进行了论述，包括中外大学生群体发展的历史回顾与对比、当代中国大学生群体发展面临的时代背景、中国大学生群体发展的基本趋势等。三是对思想政治教育与大学生群体发展相互促进的关系进行了论述，包括大学生群体在思想政治教育学中的理论地位与工作定位、大学生群体发展对思想政治教育的促进作用、思想政治教育对大学生群体发展的促进作用等。四是对大学生群体思想政治教育相关理论的论述，包括大学生群体思想政治教育的主要经验总结和规律探讨、存在的主要问题与原因分析、当前优化大学生群体思想政治教育的基本思路以及几种不同类型的大学生群体思想政治教育优化路径等。本书共七个部分，各部分内容如下：导论为“大学生群体：思想政治教育研究的新视阈”。主要是问题的提出、中外学者研究大学生群体的现状分析、本书研究的基本思路以及研究意义。第一章为“大学生群体研究的基本理论问题”。主要包括思想政治教育学中大学生群体的概念厘定、大学生群体的形成和发展、大学生群体的功能、大学生群体的分类与特征。第二章为“大学生群体的历史发展”。主要是中外大学生群体发展的历史回顾与对比分析、当代中国大学生群体发展的时代背景、当代中国大学生群体发展现状及存在的主要问题、当代大学生群体发展的趋势分析。第三章为“大学生群体在思想政治教育中的地位和作用”。主要论述大学生群体在思想政治教育中的地位，包括理论地位与实际工作定位、当代大学生群体发展对思想政治教育的促进作用、思想政治教育对当代大学生群体发展的促进作用。第四章是“大学生群体思想政治教育的现状分析”。主要包括当前大学生群体思想政治教育的主要经验总结与规律探讨、当前大学生群体思想政治教育存的主要问题及原因分析等。第五章是“大学生群体思想政治教育的优化”。从宏观上分析了当前大学生群体思想政治教育优化的基本思路，重点分析了四种类型大学生群体思想政治教育优化的重点，包括以扩大学生参与为重点不断优化大学生组织群体思想政治教育、以营造群体和谐氛围为重点优化大学生非组织群体思想政治教育、以强化道德实践为重点优化大学生优势群体思想政治教育、以促进公平发展为重点优化大学生弱势群体思想政治教育。第六章是“小结——兼析大学生群体思想政治教育的发展趋势”。除了对本书的主要观点进行了小结，还对大学生群体思想政治教育发展趋势进行了大胆探讨。 关键词：大学生群体　大学生群体发展　大学生群体思想政治教育

This book mainly studies on the complemental correlation between the ideological and political education and the universal development of university students.It includes the following four aspects：firstly，it elaborates on some correlated theories of university students from the view of ideological and political education，including the connotation of the group and university students，the formation and development of university－student group as well as its functions，classifications and characteristics；secondly，it discusses on the historical developmentof the university－studentgroup，including the review of the history and comparison between the university students at home and abroad，the challenges our university students faces inmodern times，and the basic developmental tendency of the group；thirdly，it refers to the complemental correlation between the ideological and political education and the universal developmentof university students，including the importance and the work orientation of the university－student group in the theory of ideological and political education，the stimulative effect between the ideological and political education and the universal development of university students；fourthly，it elaborates on the correlated theories of the university students’ideological and political education，including summary of its experiences and rules，analysis on the current problems and the reasons，together with the basic ideas and means about optimization of different types of university students’ideological and political education.This book consists of seven chapters.Introduction，titled as university students—new perspective of research on the ideological and political education，briefly introduces the question，the analysis on the current situation of the researches carried out by many Chinese and western scholars，the organization and significance of the study.Chapter 1，titled as the basic theories of the research on the university students，mainly concerns with the definitions，formation and development，functions，classifications，and characteristics of the university－student group.Chapter 2，titled as the historic development of university students，offers the reviews and comparison between university students athome and abroad，the challenges our university students faces inmodern times，and the basic developmental tendency of the group.Chapter 3，titled as the status and function of university students in the ideological and political education，focuses on the importance and thework orientation of the university－studentgroup in the theory of ideological and political education，the stimulative effect between the ideological and political education and the universal development of university students.Chapter 4，titled as the current situation of university students’ideological and political education，presents the summary of experiences and discussion on rules，analysis on the current problems and the reasons.Chapter 5，titled as optimizations of university students’ideological and political education，macroscopically has analyzed the basic mentality which the current university student community Ideological and political education optimizes，simultaneously selective analysis four type university student community I-deological and political education optimizes main point.It contains optimizing the organized university－student group by expanding the students’participation，optimizing unorganized group by creating a harmonious atmosphere，optimizing advantaged group by strengtheningmorally practice，optimizing disadvantaged group by promoting fair development.Chapter 6，titled as conclusion and analysis on the tendency of the development of university students’ideological and political education.In this chapter，besides the conclusion about themain ideas，it puts forward some audacious explosion on the developmental tendency of university students’ideological and political education.
