本书由《中国现当代文学史论》研究生课程整理而来。面对课时少，容量大的特点，尝试以法国新史学大师费尔南·布罗代尔的“大历史观”和英美新批评派的类型模式和白天、黑夜交替模式的文学史叙述方法，来建构一种文学史论。本书秉持的基本观点和方法是：以百年的文学史为观照面，以代表作家为观察点，以不同类型为观察视角，“挂一漏万”地尽可能凸显对文学史作出突出贡献的作家作品。即使是提到的作家，也不作全面的论述，而把侧重点放在某些具体类型或具体作品。即在宏观上追求宏观，在微观上追求微观，从而在“面”和“点”的张力下实现史论的“消肿”。在对具体作家的评价上，也不拘泥于当下的成见，有些方面将采取个人化的理解和表述，以传达一种个人化的史论观。

This book is compiled from the graduate course "History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature". In the face of the characteristics of few class hours and large capacity, we try to construct a literary historical theory based on the "grand view of history" of the French new historian Fernand Braudel and the genre mode of the Anglo-American New Criticism and the literary history narrative method of the alternating mode of day and night. The basic viewpoints and methods adhered to in this book are: taking the century-old literary history as the observation surface, the representative writers as the observation point, and different types as the observation perspective, and "hanging one by one" to highlight the works of writers who have made outstanding contributions to literary history as much as possible.
