This book looks at the historical context of music education in Chinese schools from the three-dimensional perspective of ancient music history, modern music history and modern music history, and focuses on influential major events in the development of music education in Chinese schools, such as the school music movement, the anti-Japanese rescue singing movement, the promulgation and implementation of the National Master Plan for School Art Education (1989-2000), and the Seventh National Music Education Reform Seminar. On this basis, the theoretical context of music education in Chinese schools is sorted out in detail, the music teaching method of music education in Chinese schools is discussed, and the theoretical confrontation between aesthetic theory and practical theory in the process of "learning from the west and learning from the east" is reviewed.
