本书初稿是作者夏素敏的博士学位论文“道义悖论研究”，由南京大学博士生导师、南京大学现代逻辑与逻辑应用研究所所长张建军教授悉心指导。夏素敏于2006年顺利通过答辩，获得哲学博士学位，毕业后来到中国社会科学院哲学研究所逻辑研究室工作，成为我最年轻的同事。几年来，她在研究工作中踏实勤恳、孜孜不倦，奋力追踪国际逻辑研究的前沿，先后主持了一项国家社会科学基金青年项目，参与了一项国家社科基金重大招标项目及一项教育部人文社会科学青年项目的研究，取得不少成果。看到这位最年轻同事的进步，我感到十分喜悦。更令人喜悦的是，她对原来的博士论文精益求精，进行修订，有望成为我国逻辑界第一部研究道义悖论的专著。在该书出版之际，我表示热烈祝贺！

悖论问题一直是国际、国内逻辑哲学研究的一个热点。道义悖论并非严格的逻辑悖论，有人认为这是道义逻辑中产生的一种怪论，本书作者称它们是哲学悖论。本书的创新之处在于，运用当代悖论方法论研究的最新成果，重新界定了“道义悖论”概念，具体界说和运用“悖论度”、“解悖度”等方法论工具，考察了四种道义悖论的结构和实质，明确了它们各自在“悖论度”序列中的定位，并通过梳理各种解悖方案的来龙去脉，评析了其问题与成就。在此过程中，揭示了哲学悖论向狭义逻辑悖论转化的途径和可能性，并探讨了当代道义悖论研究发展的基本方向。

道义悖论研究是广义悖论研究不可或缺的组成部分之一，本书的研究成果丰富和发展了已经取得的悖论研究成果的宝库，对进一步深化广义悖论研究具有重要意义。

The first draft of this book is the doctoral dissertation "Research on Deontological Paradoxes" by author Xia Sumin, under the guidance of Professor Zhang Jianjun, doctoral supervisor of Nanjing University and director of the Institute of Modern Logic and Logic Application of Nanjing University.
