The purpose of this book is to analyze the new form of the art village that is now unfolding—a new socio-cultural settlement that combines the customs of the city. What are its characteristics? What is the development model it is more suitable for? What is its place in the overall culture of the city? How it penetrates the cultural life of the city's inhabitants through the works of the artists... These questions and analysis of the raison d'être of these art villages are as important as the problems arising in the current development, and the author selected a growing art village, Hualin Art Village in Wuchang District, Wuhan, as the object of research, and carried out research from the two parallel main lines of macro and micro. After systematic theoretical analysis, the focus of attention fell on the discussion of how to transform the art village into a metropolitan folk village, find the imprint of the process of traditional folk customs into new urban folk customs in the art village, extract the image of the existence of the new urban folk customs in the art village and its far-reaching meaning, and provide theoretical reference for the process of how urban folk customs are generated, displayed, changed and transmitted in the city.（AI翻译）
