摘要：本书是为了分析与记载党的十八大以来中国波澜壮阔的外交而完成的。党的十八大以来，在以习近平同志为核心的党中央领导下，中国在外交理念与外交实践上都焕发出崭新面貌。大体上说，以构建人类命运共同体为统领，提出了中国特色大国外交战略，在周边外交上提出了“亲诚惠容”的理念，中国外交更加奋发有为。同时，作为实践与抓手，中国又提出了“一带一路”倡议。本书从多学科角度，对上述内容进行了深刻分析。在理论层面上，对中国特色大国外交的理论创新、周边外交的新定位、命运共同体概念、“一带一路”的外交内涵等进行了学理梳理与总结；在实践层面，主要从中国与大国的关系（中国与美国关系）、中国与周边国家的关系（中国与东盟关系、中国与马来西亚关系）、中国与发展中国家的关系（中国与拉美关系）等方面进行了系统而前瞻性研究。
