朱子门人是朱子学派的重要组成部分。对朱子门人的考订已有不少成果，但系统研究朱子门人群体的学术思想，在国内外这还是第一部。本书认为，伴随着朱熹学术思想的形成和发展，逐渐聚集在朱熹周围的所有朱子门人，构成了一个南宋中后期最为庞大复杂的学术群体，在朱子学形成、发展以及推广传播的过程中扮演了非常重要的多重角色。其中现存留有姓名的朱子门人至少有492位，他们极大拓展了朱子学的问题体系，深入参与了朱子学学术思想体系的形成与发展，丰富与完善了朱子学的经学哲学研究，推动和实现了朱子学义理诠释的精致化与规范化。在重建朱熹历史形象的同时，凭借同门间的学术交往等活动凝集散居各地的朱子门人，并通过道统论建构从理论上确证朱子学的正统地位，使得朱子门人与亲近朱子学的社会力量一起形成一个整体的合力，以各种具体方式和途径实际促进朱子学的社会推广，最终实现朱子学与国家制度的良性互动与结合，在朱子学的历史传承和海外传播等诸多方面具有重要影响。
Zhuzimen people are an important part of the Zhuzi school. There have been many results in the examination of the Zhuzimen people, but the systematic study of the academic thought of the Zhuzimen group is the first at home and abroad. This book argues that with the formation and development of Zhu Xi's academic thought, all the Zhu Zimen people who gradually gathered around Zhu Xi constituted the largest and most complex academic group in the middle and late Southern Song Dynasty, and played a very important and multiple role in the formation, development, promotion and dissemination of Zhu Zixue. Among them, there are at least 492 Zhu Zimen people with names, who have greatly expanded the problem system of Zhu Zixue, deeply participated in the formation and development of the academic thought system of Zhu Zixue, enriched and perfected the study of Zhu Zixue's scripture and philosophy, and promoted and realized the refinement and standardization of the interpretation of Zhu Zixue's teachings.
