Starting from the founding of the People's Republic of China, this book proceeds from the reality of national economic development and scientific and technological innovation activities, extensively absorbs relevant research results from the academic community, adopts the method of combining layered exploration and systematic research, and conducts a continuous longitudinal investigation of the traditional system stage, the early stage of reform and opening up, and the period of establishing a socialist market economy in chronological order.
