This book is a comprehensive study of the reform of the Shang Martingale Law and the thought of the Shang Junshu. Shang Martingale was a famous representative of the Legalists in the middle of the Warring States period, an outstanding politician, military strategist and thinker. He received the support of Qin Xiaogong, and changed the law twice in the Qin state, advocating "cultivation and war" and "rich country and strong army", so that the Qin state rose rapidly and laid the foundation for the later "King of Qin sweeping the liuhe". It can be said that Shang Martingale was "a reformer who opened the imperial industry for Qin", and his reforms had a far-reaching impact on future generations. The current "Book of Shang Jun" is a work written by Shang Martingale and his successors, and can be regarded as a collection of ideas of the Shang Martingale school.
