哲学社会科学期刊是我国学术期刊的重要组成部分，是中国特色哲学社会科学研究成果的重要发布平台，担负着繁荣中国学术、发展中国理论、传播中国思想的重要职责，在加快构建中国特色哲学社会科学学科体系、学术体系、话语体系的历史进程中发挥着重要的作用。

为更好地推出精品力作，推动理论和学术创新，引领风尚，在中国社会科学院院领导的指导下，中国社会科学杂志社于2020年12月底通过《中国社会科学》《中国社会科学报》、中国社会科学网及“中国学派”微信公众号，同时发布了《〈中国社会科学〉 2020年度好文章评选活动公告》及2020年《中国社会科学》总目录，正式启动了“《中国社会科学》2020年度好文章评选活动”。

此次好文章评选活动评选范围为2020年《中国社会科学》第1—12期刊发的全部115篇文章，涉及马克思主义理论、哲学、经济学、法学、社会学、政治学/公共管理、文学、历史学、国际关系、新闻传播学等10个学科。终评选出的好文章必须符合以下三个标准：（1）坚持以马克思主义特别是习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想为指导，坚持党的基本理论、基本路线、基本方略，增强“四个意识”、坚定“四个自信”、做到“两个维护”，坚持正确的政治方向、学术导向和价值取向；（2）关注重大理论和现实问题、各学科前沿和热点问题，具有较强的理论创新和学术创见，或在某学科领域中的某个研究领域取得了原创性、根本性的进展；（3）遵守学术规范和学术道德，逻辑严密，论证严谨，文风活泼。

根据评选活动规则，评选工作分为初选和终选两个阶段。初选阶段为读者实名投票阶段，每位投票人每个学科可推荐2篇好文章，要求实名投票并给出推荐理由。初选结果即各学科排名前两位的文章，将进入第二轮终审，由专家评审委员会从中评选出各学科的好文章，每个学科1篇。本着“宁缺毋滥”的原则，未推选出好文章的学科予以奖项空缺。

此次好文章评选活动是《中国社会科学》创刊以来的首次，备受学界关注。自评选公告发布以来，广大读者通过网页、电子邮件、邮寄等方式踊跃投票，推选心目中的好文章。根据初选阶段读者投票的结果，2021年3月19日，中国社会科学杂志社组织召开“《中国社会科学》2020年度好文章评选专家评审会”。由《中国社会科学》编委会委员和哲学社会科学领域知名专家组成的评审委员会，分为8个学科评审组，对初选阶段读者投票推选出的16篇文章分别进行了讨论和择优推荐。最后，经专家评审委员会投票，推选《美好社会：现代中国社会的历史展开与演化图景》（作者：项久雨）、《延安革命家的诗词创作实践及诗史价值》（作者：程国君、李继凯）、《金融市场与宏观经济的风险传染关系——基于混合频率的实证研究》（作者：杨子晖）、《行政许可的民法意义》（作者：王轶）、《牧区城镇化与草原生态治理》（作者：包智明、石腾飞）、《范文澜与“汉民族形成问题争论”》（作者：张越）、《认知科学视域中隐喻的表达与理解》（作者：黄华新）等7篇文章为《中国社会科学》2020年度好文章。

在评审过程中，专家评审委员会委员对此次活动给予高度评价。中国社会科学院学部委员、经济研究所研究员张卓元表示：“《中国社会科学》杂志评选2020年好文章，也是一个创举”;“我认为在整个大方向坚持马克思列宁主义的前提下，它的专业水平和学术水平还是比较高的”。著名法学家、中国法学会学术委员会主任、吉林大学哲学社会科学资深教授张文显认为，整个评选的推荐过程、评审规则充分体现了学术民主，让广大读者来推荐好文章，也充分体现了学术上的科学性和严谨性。把年度好文章评选出来，进一步推广、推介到整个社会，不仅对学术的发展起到巨大的影响，对于学术新人培养、研究队伍建设也很有意义，起到示范的作用和引领的作用。

2021年3月23日上午，《中国社会科学》2020年度好文章颁奖典礼在京举行。中国社会科学院院长、党组书记、《中国社会科学》编委会主任谢伏瞻，秘书长、党组成员赵奇等为获奖作者和责任编辑颁奖。
