论辩，作为一种非暴力言语手段，可以调停相互冲突的利害关系，澄清和解决意见分歧，协调彼此的行动。与利用行政、高压、经济等手段处理冲突和矛盾相比，它是化解社会矛盾的最佳手段。此外，学术知识的产生和发展亦需要论辩的认证与驱动。然而，这一具有重大社会意义和学术意义的论辩研究在我国尚未得到充分开展，研究规模和投入较少，理论探索存在着观念陈旧、脱离实际等问题。这一现状不仅与这个概念在中华文明的轴心时代——先秦百家争鸣时期——被赋予的丰富意义和所享有的崇高研究地位大相径庭，而且跟它在当代西方话语中的流通和应用也形成明显的反差。本书针对上述问题，从历时和跨文化这两个视角对当代中国论辩研究中形成的一些观念在纵横两个维度上进行比较和解读，以期在此基础上为这一重要领域的健康发展勾勒出一个较有建设性的观念体系和理论框架。

Debate, as a nonviolent verbal device, can mediate conflicting interests, clarify and resolve differences of opinion, and coordinate each other's actions. Compared with the use of administrative, high-pressure, economic and other means to deal with conflicts and contradictions, it is the best means to resolve social contradictions. In addition, the generation and development of academic knowledge also needs to be verified and driven by debate. However, this polemical research of great social and academic significance has not yet been fully carried out in China, the scale and investment of research are small, and there are problems such as outdated concepts and divorce from reality in theoretical exploration. This status quo is not only very different from the rich meaning and lofty research status that this concept enjoyed in the axis era of Chinese civilization, the period of contention between the pre-Qin schools of thought, but also forms a clear contrast with its circulation and application in contemporary Western discourse. In view of the above problems, this book compares and interprets some concepts formed in contemporary Chinese debate research from the perspectives of time and cross-culture, in order to outline a more constructive conceptual system and theoretical framework for the healthy development of this important field on this basis.（AI翻译）
