Indicator 4.1: Computing power

The indicator for computing power measures the computing power of the financial technology in various countries and shows the strength of their technical foundation.Table 64 shows the ranking of the 32 countries in terms of computing power.The US ranks 2st in the world，followed by Chinese Inland and Japan at the 2nd and the 3rd position，with the 4th to 10th going to Germany，UK，Singapore，France，Canada，Korea and Australia.Among the 32 samples，the score for the US，who ranked 1st，was set as 100.00 points，and the top ten countries were all found above the pass line by 60.00 points，with computing power（85.42 points）of Chinese Inland being 2nd only to that of the US.The US has been leading the world for a long time upon its scientific and technological strength，while China，as a developing country，has been catching up at a considerable speed in basic science and technology.Compared with the US，China has a small gap in computing power（see table 65），while there is still a noticeable gap in computing efficiency，and especially in application and infrastructure support（see table 66，table 67 and table 68），which calls for further improvement.
