Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Literature and Journalism, Central South University, Member of the Chinese Writers Association, Vice President of the Hunan Society of Novels, Vice President of the Hunan Provincial Visual Arts Committee, Candidate of“Three Hundred Literature and Art Talents” in Hunan Province, Communications Judge of the National Social Science Fund, and Judge of the Lu Xun Literary Prize. He has studied at the Lu Xun Institute of Literature and Arts, Fudan University and Xiangtan University. He has published more than 130 literary critiiques in the People's Daily, the Guangming Daily, the Southern Cultural Forum and the Novel Review, including more than 20 CSSCI papers, more than 10 papers being copied or abstracted by the Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Abstracts, China University Academic Abstracts, and National People's Congress Newspapers. He has hosted 1 national social science fund project, 10 provincial and ministerial projects (including 2 major projects); and he has published more than 40 books of various kinds; he has also obtained the Hunan Youth Literature Award, the People's Literature Excellent Prose Award, and Second Prize of the Literary Review Award of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
